Spotify is one of the most popular streaming platforms. Sure, offering both free and premium plans can improve your stats, but the continuous improvement of the app’s functionality cannot be ignored at all.
A little big move Spotify recently redesigned their feed. The update hasn’t reached everyone yet, but it’s clear from what we’ve seen and what users have reported online that this change was inspired by TikTok.
This whole “take a page out of the social media platform’s book” seems to be trending for Spotify, as Twitter users have noticed that their profile section has also been revamped. And do you see it? Now it looks like a social media profile.

But what could Spotify do to make the streaming platform’s user profile more interesting? At first, it seemed fine, as users were already using the service to stalk each other. The new profile appears to have a card-like design that highlights the user’s avatar. New user-related details such as currently active subscription plan and general location have been added alongside existing ones.
Additionally, there appears to be a new feature that allows users to set a “vibe”. This corresponds to the status of many other platforms, including popular texting solutions like WhatsApp.
Another new addition is a circular progress bar that fills up as the user likes the song. This shows how much Spotify understands your music tastes. What is the stated purpose that the metric could be useful beyond, but we don’t know yet.
Currently, a limited number of online users appear to have access to the redesigned user profiles. Spotify hasn’t shared specific release dates or plans for future features related to the redesign, so be sure to check their profile regularly for updates.
