A new update is added at the end of this story…….
The original (released on March 10, 2023) is as follows.
Spotify is one of the most famous audio streaming services used all over the world. The company recently introduced a new Smart Shuffle feature that offers recommendations customized to your mood.
When enabled, recommendations are automatically added to the queue. 1 out of every 3 tracks she has on playlists over 15 songs is automatically recommended.
But to make room for smart shuffling, Spotify has done away with the “expand” button feature that adds songs to playlists based on listening preferences.
Spotify’s ‘Expand’ button has been removed and replaced with Smart Shuffle
Reportedly (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,Ten), several users were not happy with the company’s decision to remove the “Enhancement” feature and replace it with the newly introduced “Smart Shuffle” feature.
Fans of the “Expand” feature say it’s the best way to discover new songs and easily expand your playlist. And, predictably, concerned users have expressed their frustrations on social media.
Spotify users say they have to press the shuffle button multiple times to get the music to play in the order they prefer.
This is understandably very frustrating and annoying as it makes it harder to enjoy your favorite tracks.
Spotify has removed the playlist extension. How can you discover new songs now?

that is Alleged Whenever you simply want to shuffle music on Spotify, the “Smart Shuffle” feature will be activated and random music will be added to the queue.
Twitter user complains Newly introduced features keep turning on automatically over and over again and cannot be permanently disabled.
The only thing I don’t like about Spotify is the “smart shuffle” BS they do, but other than that I’ve never had a problem.

Is it possible to get rid of Smart Shuffle on Spotify? 🙁 Spotify keeps freezing when I try to listen to music without Wi-Fi.

some have Asked The need to introduce such “useless” feature updates to the platform.
It’s entirely possible that the company will go back to the old features like they did two years ago when the “enhance” feature was removed.
I hope Spotify listens to what users want.
That said, we’ll be monitoring the issue of Spotify’s ‘Enhanced’ button being removed and replaced with the newly introduced ‘Smart Shuffle’ and will update the article accordingly.
Update 1 (13 March 2023)
6:30 pm (actual): Some users find the new plus button more useful when adding songs to multiple playlists.
To be fair, the new + is more efficient when adding songs to multiple playlists.I made a few at once last summer and this was really good
