Spotify ‘Enhanced’ button removed and replaced with Smart Shuffle

Spotify is one of the most famous audio streaming services used all over the world. The company recently introduced a new Smart Shuffle feature that offers recommendations customized to your mood.

When enabled, recommendations are automatically added to the queue. 1 out of every 3 tracks she has on playlists over 15 songs is automatically recommended.

But to make room for smart shuffling, Spotify has done away with the “expand” button feature that adds songs to playlists based on listening preferences.

Reportedly (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,Ten), several users were not happy with the company’s decision to remove the “Enhancement” feature and replace it with the newly introduced “Smart Shuffle” feature.

Fans of the “Expand” feature say it’s the best way to discover new songs and easily expand your playlist. And, predictably, concerned users have expressed their frustrations on social media.

Spotify users say they have to press the shuffle button multiple times to get the music to play in the order they prefer.

This is understandably very frustrating and annoying as it makes it harder to enjoy your favorite tracks.

It’s entirely possible that the company will go back to the old features like they did two years ago when the “enhance” feature was removed.
