Spotify released an exclusive trailer on Thursday teasing Davido’s upcoming album Timeless.
The trailer, which features the African superstar on set for a TV interview, is as fans anticipate the Afrobeat star’s fourth studio album, announced for release on March 31.
This will be Davido’s first sonic work, following a five-month hiatus and his first album since 2020’s “A Better Time.”
In the trailer, which was released through Spotify’s social channels, Davido answers questions about the new album and gives a one-word description of the album. timeless.
Nearby, a teleprompter unfolds the album’s long-awaited tracklist and collaborations.
Davido’s team describes Timeless as “a series of works that go beyond fashion and trends. This is an authentic work that stays true to Davido’s core as an artist and uses his music to bring joy to his fans around the world.” The songs you hear today are TIMELESS because they will be just as relevant tomorrow.”
A star-studded tracklist
The album will include 17 tracks, including the previously released Champion Sound with Amapiano Ambassador Focalistic.
It also boasts a roll call of established international and emerging local artists, maintaining Davido’s decade-long reputation as a connector and c-collaborator between Afrobeat and global music.
It features British grime legend Skepta, dancehall champion Dexta Daps, Grammy Award winner Angelique Kidjo and Nigerian hitmaker Asake.
Davido has also used the album to spotlight emerging talent such as Nigerian singers Logos olori and Fave, as well as inspiring Nigerian folk band The Cavemen and digital content creator Morravey.
This trailer follows the Spotify exclusive Timeless Afro. This playlist features the most traditional Afrobeat songs curated by Davido.
These initiatives are in line with Spotify’s long-standing mission to help singers reach the public eye and support African music and its creators.

Speaking about the trailer, Spotify’s West African Artist and Label Partnerships Manager Victor Okpala said the release is a highly anticipated moment for one of the biggest ambassadors of African music in the digital age.
