Spotify today launched a new feature called Niche Mixes. This will[検索]You can create your own personalized mix based on just a few words of the tab description. For example, you can enter “Activity, Atmosphere, or Aesthetics” and add the word “Mix” to generate a custom his playlist. The company describes the feature as “a set of personalized playlists that combine everything Mix has to offer in a playful way.”
In a blog post, Spotify said, “We give listeners access to tens of thousands of mixes that are unique to them based on just about anything they can think of.
This feature allows users to generate almost any playlist instantly. For example, you can search for “Feel good morning mix”, “90s running mix”, “driving singalong mix”. Niche mixes are labeled “Made For You” under their name in search results.
Once created, these playlists can be found under ‘Your Niche Mixes’ in the ‘Made For You’ hub under search. Additionally, Spotify proposes a daily updated carousel of 5 to 19 niche mixes.
Spotify has suggested some niche mixes for users to get started with. Among them are such Cottagecore Indie Mix, Bubblegum Pop Mix, Discofox Mix, Feel Good Driving Mix, Fun Road Trip Mix, Travel Mashup Mix and others.
Spotify wants you to be prompt and creative by entering decades, activities, or vibes to get results. In testing, a TechCrunch reporter found that the feature can generate a large number of results. Typing the word “shower mix” into the search box also returns rows and rows of possible combinations, indicating possible scales of functionality.
