Spotify is expanding its family of personalized playlists and mixes to include genre, decade and mood mixes, a set of personalized playlists that combine mixes from Spoitfyt in a “playful way”.
Spotify has also added new, more clearly named mix categories that evolve with you, including Artist Mixes, Genre Mixes, and Decade Mixes.
“Spotify Mix was inspired by Daily Mix, the most popular personalized playlist among our users,” said the streamer. “And because personalization is what we do, we are constantly iterating and improving our products to give our listeners the best possible audio experience.”
Spotify on how Niche Mixes work
- “When you go to the Made For You hub in Search, you’ll see a daily updated carousel of 5-10 recommended niche mixes.
- Explore tens of thousands of niche mixes within search. Simply search for the word ‘mix’ in addition to activities, atmospheres, instruments, or aesthetics.
- Looking for something trendy or original? Or search our playlist for the occasion and check out mixes like the Cottagecore Indie Mix, Bubblegum Pop Mix, and Discofox Mix.
- Or, if you’re getting ready to take a trip with friends and family this spring break, check out Feel Good Driving Mix, Fun Road Trip Mix, Travel Mashup Mix, and more. ”
