The World Is A Vampire Tour Begins This July
The Smashing Pumpkins have announced a 26-date North American The World Is A Vampire Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the tour is set to kick off Friday, July 28th at Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. The tour will feature special guests Interpol, Stone His Temple His Pilot and Rival Suns as support on various dates, as well as the National Wrestling Alliance’s (NWA) world’s greatest champions competing in most cities. Trekking has already sold out capacity shows of over 30,000 people in Mexico City this year and cities across Australia this spring, with plans to expand to more countries in the future.
Artist pre-sales will begin on Tuesday, March 28th at noon and will run until Thursday, March 30th at 10:00pm. General sale begins on Friday, March 31st at 10am local via Ticketmaster.
“I grew up in a world that needed to know that bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Cure existed. It was meant to have a place,” says Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. “That’s ‘The World Is a Vampire.’ Bringing back that sense of community. If you don’t fit in, you belong here. It’s about sharing experiences and respecting others, but ultimately A true alternative festival where self-proclaimed weirdos and outsiders from all over the world can come together and party.”
