Slowdive has announced a change of tour dates to Australia and New Zealand.
The revered shoegaze band was originally scheduled to tour in April, including an appearance at the inaugural Daydream Festival, but the tour was postponed after drummer Simon Scott suffered a back injury.
“We regret to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to postpone our upcoming performances in Australia,” the band said in a statement at the time. “Our drummer Simon Scott injured his back prior to departure, making it impossible for him to travel or play for the time being.
“We are working hard to reschedule the club shows we had planned, so for now, please secure your tickets for those shows. We wish Simon a speedy recovery.”
And Slowdive have delivered on their promise by announcing a series of tour dates for July. The UK band will start in Perth before heading to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland (see detailed dates below).
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 2nd at 9am local time. Early pre-order sales begin at 9am local time on Wednesday, May 31st (register here).
Please note that all existing tickets for previously announced shows in Perth, Sydney and Adelaide will continue to be valid without any action.
