Rome (CNN) Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has been diagnosed with leukemia, according to Corriere della Sera.
His spokesman, Paolo Russo, did not deny the reports when asked, stating: “We are not authorized to provide health information, but Corriere della Sera is Italy’s most authoritative newspaper.” rice field.

Berlusconi, 86, was hospitalized on Wednesday with respiratory problems.
The controversial media mogul served three terms as Italy’s prime minister, most recently from 2008 to 2011, before being banned from politics for six years after being convicted of tax evasion.
Berlusconi returned to front-line politics in 2022 and was elected senator representing the city of Monza in northern Italy.
He was hospitalized separately last week for “routine checkups,” his spokesperson told CNN, without giving details.
In 2021, he was hospitalized for treatment of long-term Covid-19 symptoms, according to a Forza Italia spokesperson. He also spent the previous year in the hospital after contracting coronavirus and had numerous other health concerns, including heart surgery to replace his aortic valve in 2016.
