British heavy metal legends Saxon have hired guitarist Brian Tatler (Diamond Head) for their upcoming tour dates this summer. Bryan replaces guitarist and founding member Paul Quinn, who announced his retirement from touring last month.
Bryan will join guitarist Doug Scarratt, bassist Nibs Carter, drummer Nigel Glockler and vocalist Biff Byford for a concert beginning July 7 in Athens, Greece. It is stated that Brian continues to be a member of Diamond Head.
Byford commented on the news:We welcome our best friend Brian Tatler aboard a Saxon battleship to our live journey around the world…Bring It On!!”
Saxon is touring in support of his new covers album, ‘More Inspirations’, via Silver Lining Music.
