The Sam Grisman Project embarks on a spring tour next week. Known for playing culled covers from David “Dawg” Grisman and Jerry Garcia’s personal and intertwined archives, the ensemble will kick off Friday March 30th in Winchester, Lakewood, Ohio, and head to the East Coast. A continuation of the musical journey.
Following the band’s first night of tour, Sam Grisman, Rick Robertson, Chris English and Aaron Lipp will take the stage at Pittsburgh’s Thunderbird Cafe & Music Hall on March 31st. Additional concert dates will take place on April 1 and 2, when the musicians arrive. At the Geneseo Riviera Threatre in Geneseo, New York, they’ll be taking part in a two-night stand.
After a day off, The Sam Grisman Project resumes its tour on April 4th at Boston’s City Winery. The Bean Town slot precedes Jammer’s concert April 5th at his Garcia’s in Port Chester, NY and the show at his acclaimed Brooklyn Bowl venue in Williamsburg, NY.
The East Coast-focused performance will bring together friends and performers at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania on April 7th, with a follow-up at the Stone Church venue in Newmarket on April 8th, followed by The gig takes place at Infinity. Music Hall in Hartford, Connecticut on April 9th.
The final date of the tour is April 11th at Milkboy in Philadelphia, followed by April 12th at Darryl’s House in Poring, NY. America in late winter.
