To mark the 10th anniversary of their self-titled debut album, Run the Jewels will embark on a 16-date tour in four cities under the name RTJX: Celebrating 10 Years of Run the Jewels.
The tour, which kicks off on September 13th, will play four shows each in Los Angeles, Chicago, EI-P’s hometown of New York City, and Killer Mike’s Atlanta. According to a press release, the duo will “play a different set each night that spans the band’s full discography, backed by many special guests and surprises along the way.”
“It’s been 10 years since we joined forces as RTJs and it’s amazing to see them,” Killer Mike and El-P said in a statement. “We think the best way is for the whole family to come together and do what we love for the people who love us. Great stuff, like this whole ride has been.” I am grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate with Jewel Runner this year and finally get the chance to return to the club and destroy some stages.”
