According to the release, LCNS continues to provide Lawrence with a supportive, inclusive, low-cost, diverse and accessible kindergarten.
According to the release, “Musical entertainment at South Park’s historic Bandstand will feature Darsonics, Skye Smede, Carswell & Hope, Cat Rodeo, Blacksmith’s Daughter and storyteller Priscilla Howe. It entertains young children with stories.” “Many of our musical acts feature the parents and former family members of LCNS students!
According to the release, activities such as games, bouncy houses and face painting will be offered for kids, while food truck meals and Free State beer will be offered for adults.
The festival takes place at South Park on Sunday, April 30th from 11am to 4pm. Participation is free, but donations are solicited. Proceeds support schools.
Sunday will be the first Rockin’ Red Music Fest since the outbreak of COVID-19, according to the release.
“We have been discussing the right time to reopen this event post-pandemic. LCNS is celebrating its 75th anniversary and now is the time!” One of the participating bands, musician Nick Carswell, said in the release: “We can’t wait to celebrate this amazing collaborative community with music, games, food, drink and fun at South Park.”
The preschool is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of director Stephanie Duncan.
