The Nintendo Switch is a sleek, minimalist console as far as UI and aesthetics are concerned. that too Minimalist, as several commentators have pointed out consoles lacking iconic music like some Nintendo consoles of the past, or themes like the 3DS. The rest of the data found on the OS (v. 0.8.5) suggests that a simple color theme was planned for the console.
Leftovers found in a pre-release version of Switch’s OS (0.8.5) indicate that Nintendo planned to include multiple theme colors, but removed this feature shortly before launch for unknown reasons. Did.

Not only that, but the old music (which was actually discovered years ago) also indicates that the eShop music was planned for consoles at some point.
Why were these removed? For music, console boot and home screen and eShop could be faster. As for themes… it’s hard to say. Consoles still have light and dark themes inherent in basically all modern tech interfaces, so in theory, implementing other color themes would Nintendo’s colorful all-ages appeal? I can’t say. But I hope it will be added someday.
