The theme of the song title, “Wasted,” touches on various things related to alcoholism and feeling stuck. “Have another drink to cloud my mind and judgment”, “Everyone I know is staying tonight”, “I used to have the energy to be angry/knew how to say sorry/but now I’m back” Phrases such as “I’ve been nothing” indicate that you are frustrated with your position in life and rely on self-destructive habits to relieve your pain. The song’s brooding, sad tone and almost entirely stringed notes convey the song’s upset, sad emotion.
Moose announced Inflorescence The EP features a number of musicians Moose has collaborated with over the years, including Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, Brittany Howard and Sara Bareilles.
