‘Celebrating David Bowie’ tour kicks off in fall

The 2023 ‘Celebrating David Bowie’ tour has been rescheduled after vocalist Peter Murphy underwent an ‘unexpected medical procedure’.
According to Murphy’s Instagram announcement, the Bauhaus frontman’s recent unspecified procedure “is interfering with his ability to travel as planned,” but “he is recovering well and is fully booked. I am recovered and ready to tour the US with the group this fall”. Please also note that all tickets purchased for previously announced shows will be honored on the new corresponding dates.
The revised run begins October 10th in Tacoma, WA and ends November 22nd in Cincinnati. The updated itinerary also suggests that more cities, including Chicago, will be added to the ensemble’s tour stops, and the singer will return even stronger. Check out the full live stretch below.
Tickets for the new ‘Celebrating David Bowie’ tour will go on sale through Ticketmaster on Friday, April 14th.
On tour, Murphy joined an elite Bowie tribute band led by tour originator Angelo “Scorte” Bandini, featuring Adrian Belew (King Crimson) and Royston Langdon (Spacehog). , Matt McJunkins (Perfect Circle), Jeff Friedl (Devo, A Perfect Circle), Ron Dziubla, Eric Schermerhorn. The tour is Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust proto-punk era, record of his Berlin trilogy (low, heroesand lodger), and Trent Reznor after him breathed years.
