Perrie Edwards has no “fixed timeline” for the release of her solo songs.
Little Mix went on an indefinite hiatus last year, allowing Perry and her bandmates Lee Ann Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall to pursue solo careers.
Perry is in the studio working on solo material, but it’s unclear when her song will be released.
“There is no fixed timeline,” she told Grazia magazine. “My label tells me to go with the flow and enjoy discovering what my sound will be. The fact that there are no deadlines in life makes me the happiest person, and I feel so lucky to just have fun.”
The 29-year-old feels liberated by being able to work at her own pace instead of being stuck to a rigid schedule.
“At Little Mix, our lives were sometimes planned about three years ago. Now there is so much more freedom for all of us. It’s really refreshing,” she added.
In addition to her solo music, Perry is also working on the apparel line Disora, taking care of her young son Axel, and planning her wedding to soccer star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
“There’s so much going on right now,” she shared. Again, it’s like starting a business! Where do you start with a wedding? There are many.
Perry and Alex began dating in late 2016 and got engaged in June last year.
