Ottto had a record release show on Monday night to mark his debut album. life is a gameThe PCH-based band played at The Echo in Los Angeles with special guests Dewwy and White Jagg.
Just days after debut album release life is a game, officially available on March 24, 2023, where Otto performed his West Coast record release show. Friends, family and fans gathered, along with his thrash metal band, at LA’s intimate venue The Echo. After debuting several singles live, following performances by his friends Dewwy and White Jagg, Ottto took the stage by storm.
As soon as they took the stage, Otto ignited the energy and the members of White Jug ran up the stage and briefly joined the band on vocals midway through the opening song. Low”, “The Void”, and “Trip”, and continued to play several songs from their first album. The band also played the track “Skopa”, which was dedicated to longtime friends and his eponymous restaurant in Venice.
Otto’s Monday night performance was beyond words. Aggressive, passionate thrash metal that lit several mosh pits all night long has only scratched the surface of what this band has to offer. A true trifecta, capped off by rhythm, poetic woeful lyrics. All the tracks that were played were very energetic and something that should be experienced live.
Otto is Brian Noah Ferretti (vocals and guitar), Title Trujillo (bass) and Patrick “Toriko” Chavez (drums). The band takes influences from 80’s hair bands, heavy metal, psychedelic and thrash. Some of the songs are powered by Trujillo’s throbbing low-end bass, which only seems fitting since he’s the son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo.
The band recently performed at Lollapalooza in Santiago, Chile with notable artists such as Billie Eilish, Twenty One Pilots and Tame Impala. The band already has several shows scheduled this May, including a special appearance at the Rockville Festival in Florida and the Sonic Temple Festival in Ohio. With only his one studio album and his one EP, Ottto has performed with rock’s big names such as Slipknot, Tool, Godsmack, and Rob Zombie.
With just a little more participation and live performances from people who know what this new metal band brings, we hope this is just the beginning of an unimaginable journey. For more information on Ottto and upcoming tour dates, visit otttoband.com.
