Chancy Williams is Star.
Those of us in Wyoming have known about it for a long time, and now people around the world want to know about it.
The day before the album release, Chancey Williams was featured in a PEOPLE article (magazine, etc.). PEOPLE will also debut Williams’ latest single exclusively any of these days.
Speaking to PEOPLE just days before the album’s release (out March 24, 2023), Williams spoke about the resurgence of “cowboy culture” in an interview.
“Cowboys are finally cool again,” Williams told PEOPLE. I have spoken the same way and treated people the same way. “
That last part is, as Williams claims, the crucial part. After all, it’s his Wyoming.

Chancey Williams and Co. have been busy lately! In addition to releasing albums, they have also toured, most recently last February he performed at Casper’s The Beacon Club. Additionally, Williams and his band have announced that he will be performing The Grand Ole Opry on April 22nd. This is a dream come true for Williams and his stablemate, and further proof that Chauncey Williams has arrived.
The PEOPLE feature is a big first step. PEOPLE is widely regarded as one of the most read magazines in the country. You see this magazine in the checkout aisle of every grocery store. It was only a matter of time before Williams was inducted into the Pop Culture Hall of Fame. Still, Williams is quick to remind people to never forget where they came from.
“I think it’s great that a traditional country is officially back in style,” Williams told K2 Radio News. I’ve always been a Wyoming man, and I’m proud of it, and I’ll never forget it.”
Wyoming will not forget him either. Every time Williams and his band come to town, whether it’s the Beacon Club, David Street Station, Ford’s Wyoming or his Center, he packs the house. When Chancey sings, people listen. And it’s about to expand to other parts of the world.
Chance Williams may have been Wyoming’s best kept secret. But the secret is just around the corner. And Wyoming couldn’t be more proud.
