Apparently 2023 is the year of music return. First, Siza made a big comeback. For weeks now, Cardi B has spoken publicly about working on his sophomore album. Now Noname is throwing his hat into the ring. All three women waited her five years before dropping or, in some cases, starting to work on full follow-ups.
Noname recently released a handful of songs, including “Rainforest” and “Song 33” (a track in response to J. Cole’s subtle jab), but fans of the rapper suspected she’d dropped the entire project after the change. I was looking forward to the day. Her mind about her retiring from music.

No Name’s last album. Room 25, released in 2018. In between her singles her drop, she’s published works such as her Noname’s Book Club, which focuses on “uplifting people of color voices” by highlighting literary works centered around her stories. We have put a lot of effort into community activities. Her literary and social awareness campaigns have played an important role in conversations about available educational resources in underfunded communities. That said, her no-name is no stranger to using her own music to address political and social issues. It’s safe to assume her next album will do the same.
Noname fans were overjoyed to hear the news. See some of their reactions below.
