Dissonant death metal band Nightmarer, featuring current and former members of The Ocean, Convulsing, Gigan, War From A Harlot’s Mouth, and more, will release their second full-length from Total Dissonance Worship And Vendetta Records on May 5th. Release Deformity Adrift. .

Founded in 2014, the international collective known as Nightmares set out to bring out only the most extreme elements of their previous musical endeavors and elevate them to a more miserable and punishing level. Two years later, the band hit extreme metal his underground with their debut EP Chasm. A blistering whirlwind of low-end cacophony and crushing heaviness quickly took the scene by storm, paving the way for a record deal with Season Of Mist.
With appearances on Nightmare’s next full-length Cacophony of Terror (2018) and the 2019 edition of the Devastation on the Nation Tour, the band has developed a strong following. That same year, they further cemented their reputation as a band to watch.
In early 2020, Nightmarer parted ways with Season Of Mist to launch their own label, Total Dissonance Worship. Under that banner, the band released the single “Primordial Grit” and his 2021 EP Monolith Of Corrosion to critical acclaim from both fans and critics.
By 2021, most of the band had moved to Portland, Oregon to complete production of their long-awaited second full-length, this year’s Deformity Adrift.
Arguably the band’s most diverse work to date, Deformity Adrift defies the conventions of the genre’s already unconventional, dissonant death metal genre without losing any of its viciousness. A 32-minute sonic gigantic record that wreaks chaos and destruction at the same time. Strong nuances of industrial and doom metal are heard throughout, and his nine tracks on this record are aptly rounded off with a stifling wall of sound that hurts, knocks, and shakes the listener.
Deformity Adrift guitars were recorded at Sludge Studios by Simon Hawemann, vocals and additional guitars were recorded at Merrowsound by Keith Merrow, all bass was recorded at Overland by Brendan Sloan, and drums were recorded at Dailyhero Recordings by Marc Wüstenhagen. I was. The record was mixed and mastered by Raphaël Bovey at MyRoom Studio and adorned with Jeanne Comateuse’s cover of her art.
