And now there is another reason to visit here. We have a new beer garden.
Here’s what you need to know about the new Third Word Beer Garden, including location, hours and menu, according to the news release.
Where is Third Ward Beer Garden located?
The Third Ward Beer Garden is located in Plaza Catalano on Menomonie Street on Broadway.
“This beer garden is one of our favorite Third Ward parks, where neighborhood residents and visitors gather to raise a glass and celebrate summer,” said Jim, Executive Director of the Historic Third Ward Association. Mr. Plaisted said in a news release. . “With local beer and local musicians drawing beer lovers to Plaza Catalano, we are thrilled to unveil all the great businesses that have gathered in this area of the 3rd Arrondissement. Club Charlie’s, Copper Turtle Brewery & Taverne and Riley’s are all right on the square, and with the nearby MARN Arts + Culture Hub, MIAD campus, and the shops and eateries of Erie Street, there really is something for everyone.”

The Third Word Beer Garden will be open from June 9th to September.
When is Third Ward Beer Garden open?
Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm to 8pm, Friday from 3pm to 9pm, Saturday from noon to 9pm, and Sunday from noon to 5pm.
What’s on the menu at Third Ward Beer Garden?
Third Ward Beer Garden will feature a menu of local craft and imported beers, wines and ready-to-drink cocktails, according to a news release.
Draft products include Third Space Brewing’s Happy Place, Frog Vice and Upward Spiral. Weihenstephan original, Hefeweissbier, Dunkel. Hinterland Door County Cherry Wheat, according to the beer garden website.
Canned beverages include Michelob Ultra, Bud Light Seltzer Black Cherry, Cutwater Margarita and Vodka Mule.
Wine options include reds as well as Casa Cortelli Prosecco.
Water and bagged snacks are also provided.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Association of the Third Historic Ward and BID No. 2 to help improve Plaza Catalano, according to the release.
What will happen to the bar and seating at Third Ward Beer Garden?
The beer garden will feature a custom two-story pop-up container bar with a rooftop stage.
Seating is also available at German-style picnic tables and high-top tables made from beer barrels.
Does Third Ward Beer Garden have live music?
Yes, there is live acoustic music most Thursdays at 4pm and Saturdays at 1pm.
Who manages Third Ward Beer Garden?
The Third Ward Beer Garden is managed by Third Ward residents Leanne and Dave Hoch.
According to a news release, Lean is the owner and general manager of The Hock Group, which includes the Bud Pavilion and Wednesday Night Live, a popular summer live music series at the Wisconsin State Fair Park.
Dave is a beverage industry consultant with over 30 years of experience in the beverage and hospitality sector. According to the release, he worked at Beachwood Sales and Service and served as CEO of Milwaukee Brewing Company and Future Revations.
“Like other beer gardens in the city, this beer garden will be a social gathering place,” Liang said in a release. “We are delighted to welcome our neighbors and visitors to District 3 to spend summer days and nights with friends and family enjoying cold drinks, great music and lots of energy. That’s summer in Milwaukee.”
