Morgan Warren’s tour is officially on hold.
The 29-year-old country singer revealed Tuesday on Instagram that she has a “vocal cord injury.” As a result, his tour will be suspended for six weeks to allow his vocal cords to rest.
“I got some bad news yesterday from a doctor at the Vanderbilt Voice Center,” Warren explained in the video. By the second time, I felt terrible.
“So I went to the hospital yesterday and had an endoscopy and they said I injured my vocal cords and had trauma to my vocal cords. Their advice is to rest your vocal cords for six weeks. They don’t want me to talk, but they said it’s okay to talk about things like this if I need to.
“[The doctors] I was told that if I did it the right way it would go back to 100%. I was also told that continuing to sing without listening would permanently damage my voice. So for the longevity of my career, this was the choice I had to make. “
Between a strained vocal cord and a torn LAT muscle, Warren will miss Thursday’s Academy Awards for Country Music.
According to the press release, tickets for Warren’s tour dates will apply to the rescheduled performances, with a 30-day refund period after the new dates are announced.
Over the next six weeks, Warren was scheduled to perform in various cities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas, Georgia, Florida and Virginia.
