Morgan Warren has canceled or postponed six weeks of concerts after doctors ordered him to rest his vocal cords. The “Last Night” singer has re-aggravated a voice injury he sustained at the beginning of his One Night at a Time tour.
A list of postponed dates was not provided along with a message to Warren’s fans, but six weeks means all shows through June 20th will be affected. That includes this week’s ACM Awards in Frisco, Texas, where Warren was scheduled to perform. He is a candidate for Entertainer of the Year.
“This is just a choice I had to make,” he said at the end of the two-minute video. “I hate you, but I love you guys.”
Fans first learned Warren had voice issues when he canceled the headlining portion of his concert in Oxford, Michigan on April 23. At the time, Warren’s team issued a written statement stating that Warren was working with doctors on treatment. But that night he could not sing.
Fans were upset by the last-minute cancellation, and rumors (which have since been denied) began to circulate that it had something to do with alcohol rather than illness. Shortly afterward, however, Warren announced that doctors had ordered her voice to rest and that she had postponed three shows.

Warren played three shows in Florida last weekend, but admitted in a video shared with fans that he lost his voice again by the end of the third show. After consulting with a doctor in Nashville, it was found that his trauma had worsened again.
At that time, the doctor ordered that he should rest his voice for six weeks.
“They said if I did it the right way it would be back to 100 percent, and if I kept singing without listening it would permanently damage my voice,” he says.
