Just days after returning to the stage from a vocal hiatus, Morgan Warren is canceling his world tour – yet again – but this time for six weeks.
The country singer announced on Tuesday that he had “reinjured” his vocal cords and was again “mandated to rest his vocal cords.” Tour dates for the next month and a half have been rescheduled.
“Yesterday, I received bad news from my doctor,” Warren said in an Instagram video on Tuesday.
“After 10 days off vocals, I played 3 shows in Florida last weekend and by the 3rd show I felt terrible. So yesterday I went to the hospital and had an endoscopy. By the way, I was told … I have vocal cord trauma.”
Over the next six weeks, Warren was scheduled to perform in states such as Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas, Georgia and Florida. In addition to rescheduling those concerts, the “You Proof” hitmaker announced that he’ll be performing at the Carolina Country Music Fest and Academy Awards, which will be streamed live Thursday night on Prime Video.
