The Melvins have inspired countless bands throughout their 40-year history, most notably Japanese noise metal veteran Boris, whose name literally derives from a Melvins song.
That track, “Boris,” was on the classic 1991 album by Seattle’s Sludge Grunge Pioneers. bull headAnd later this year, the Melvins will play the album in full every night on a joint headlining tour with Boris himself, playing his own fan favorites from 2002. heavy rockat each stop.
The seven-week U.S. run begins August 24th in Los Angeles, travels across the country for nearly two months, and ends October 14th in San Diego. In addition to the aforementioned full-length album performance, Melvins and Boris will also perform other songs throughout their prolific career.
It looks like it’s going to be a blast, and tickets for the entire Sibang go on sale Friday, June 9th at 10am local time. See the full list of dates below.
