The Duchess of Sussex’s Spotify podcast has reportedly ended after just one season.

Hosted by the Duchess of Sussex, the podcast launched last August and featured guest appearances from Serena Williams, Mariah Carey and Paris Hilton during its 12-episode first season.
According to Spotify, the series had the highest number of streams in its first week for a podcast in the United States.
The podcast’s producers were reportedly told in recent weeks that a second season would not be produced due to deadlocked talks between Spotify and Archewell executives.
The Sussexes and Spotify signed a multi-platform deal in 2020, with a podcast being their first release.
A representative from WME, the Duchess of Sussex’s talent agency, told The Wall Street Journal:
“Meghan continues to develop more content for archetype audiences on other platforms.”
This comes after Spotify announced last week that it will cut 200 jobs as it continues to calculate the cost of high-profile presenter deals, including the Sussexes, Barack and Michelle Obama, and Joe Rogan. The latter deal was reportedly worth $200 million. .
