Grand Rapids — The “Maple Syrup, Music, Phenology” event will be held on Saturday, March 25 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Forest History Center at 76 2609 County Road in Grand Rapids.
During the event, visitors will be able to learn about the process of making maple syrup, the release said.
Attendees can also watch the Forest History Center’s packhorse Jack carry sap through the forest, the release said.
While the boiling is happening, participants can participate in music around the fire, listen to songs from the past, and participate in the festivities.
Guests of all musical abilities are encouraged to bring their own instruments and play along.
For those wanting to explore the forest, local phenologist John Latimer will take you on a guided hike through the site’s trails beginning at 10am.
