Local Native gives us hope with the announcement of their upcoming fifth studio album. Time waits for no one, It will be released via Loma Vista on July 7th. As a preview, the indie-rock veteran has revealed Reed’s single “NYE” and accompanying dates for his 2023 tour.
For their first album in four years, Local Natives turned to heavyweight producer John Congleton to help the band navigate a “time of metamorphosis” that inspired their new music. Radiant and bright, “NYE” came after band member Ryan Hahn’s recent marriage, while other members of the Local Natives continued the tradition of playing at each other’s weddings. The “Time Will Wait For No One Tour” kicks off in Minneapolis on August 18th, with performances at New York’s Pier 17 on August 29th and Washington, DC on August 24th and 25th.
