TORONTO – Gordon Lightfoot’s purported final live album is scheduled for July 14th.
“At Royal Albert Hall” is an unedited recording of a performance held at a venue in London in 2016.
A spokesperson for Lightfoot said he was keen to release the album as soon as possible in the weeks leading up to his death on May 1.
Mr. Lightfoot requested that the recording not be altered in any way, he said.
In addition to his signature hits, this double album includes songs not previously featured on his live album, such as “Beautiful” and “Don Quixote.”
Lightfoot is a prolific performer who played his final gig in Winnipeg last October.
