Lewis Capaldi has apologized to his fans after an illness forced him to cancel his upcoming European tour dates.
The 26-year-old singer from Scotland personally apologized for his withdrawal on Instagram and Twitter, explaining that a nasty bout of bronchitis forced him to withdraw from gigs in Zurich and Milan.

“Hello, I’m Lewis Capaldi. I’m so sorry I’m making this video. Unfortunately, I have to reschedule the rest of the show. On my European tour.”
The star explains he was sent home by doctors after losing his voice on stage in Stockholm last week.
After seeing another doctor and taking medication, he returned to Barcelona to perform on Saturday night (March 11).
Sadly, his voice was heard again during soundcheck, and he performed that night in Madrid on Sunday (March 12), in Stuttgart on Tuesday (March 14) and on Wednesday. Evening concert in Munich (March 15).

The latest show’s set joins Zurich and Milan, which were canceled last week.
“I’m really sorry about this. I should be able to do this,” he continued in the video. I almost lost my mind.
“I don’t know what else to say here. I want to make a video and post it so you know it’s from me and you know someone in management.

“I’m really sorry. I hope to see you again soon. I’m very sorry. We’ll sort out the rescheduled date as soon as possible.”
New dates will be announced in due course, and those with tickets for the show can request rescheduling or refunds.
