kings woolFather of, Rob Grantto release their debut album. Lost at Seaon June 9 via Decca Records.
Yesterday, we showed off the second taste of the album with our new single, Poetry of wind and wavesfollowing the previously released one Sailing to the distant horizon.
The father and daughter make similar music, dominated by piano played in minor keys, making for a masterful instrumental conclusion. Grant’s first two singles have no vocals.However, his daughter is featured on two of his songs on the album: the title track and hollywood bowl.
Explaining his intentions behind the new single, Grant revealed in a press release.Poetry of wind and waves is a song about the rhythm of the sea…and the hypnotic beauty of the waves as they rise and fall.

“When I wrote this song, I was in a studio in Los Angeles playing a beautiful concert grand piano. The studio was intimate and dark with soft ambient lighting.”
He credited some of the track’s beauty to his producer, adding:
“It was an honor to work with two amazing producers on this song. Luke Howard and Jack AntonoffI hope you love this music as much as I do. Let the waves wash over you and bring peace to your soul. ”
