Kelsea Ballerini treated country fans with a special surprise performance at the Spotify House in downtown Nashville on the first day of CMA Fest 2023.
Festival-goers flocked to Blake Shelton’s Ole Red bar on Lower Broadway on Thursday night, June 8, as news broke of Ballerini’s appearance hours before she took the stage.
“Maybe I shouldn’t say this, but this was my favorite part of last year’s CMA Fest,” she told the audience with a laugh before her current radio single, “If You Go Down (I’m・Going Down Too)”. . ”
Keeping her energy high, she called on fans to “be a little sassy with me,” while introducing a novel call to action called “Blind Side.” A scathing track from her recently headlined EP, roll up welcome matis a direct message to now ex-husband Morgan Evans and his 2023 single “Over For You.”
For this performance, Ballerini added an intense bonus outro that she debuted during the act. Performed on March 4th saturday night live.

Ballerini wasn’t named an official performer for the 2023 CMA Fest, but the 29-year-old country star was in town during a break from her ongoing Heart First tour. The headliner’s journey resumes on June 16th in Santa Barbara, Calif., and runs through mid-July.
