Joe Rogan hosts one of the world’s most popular podcasts. Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), which can only be streamed on Spotify. Given his value, it’s not surprising that the company was willing to allocate $100 million to create a financial apology when the famous podcaster was accused of making controversial comments.
Earlier last year, the streaming giant was criticized for its deal with Logan after it invited guests on its podcast who allegedly spread misinformation about the pandemic and the Covid-19 vaccine. The backlash got worse after a clip surfaced showing him using a specious slur.
Last year, Spotify announced a “Creator Equity Fund” dedicated to supporting inclusivity and representation on the platform. But a Bloomberg report reveals that less than 10% of his fund has been used so far.
The company reportedly planned to use the entire fund over the next three years, but lacked a robust structure to approve spending and has been slow to hire staff. Changing priorities also negatively affected the project. Additionally, the report shows that Spotify’s financial priorities remain undecided, with a 2023 budget not yet finalized.
Joe Rogan claims Jorge Masvidal is ‘dangerous’ for Prime Minister Georges St-Pierre
Joe Rogan recently claimed that Jorge Masvidal and other currently active top-ranked welterweights would have given UFC Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre a real run for his money.
St-Pierre is considered one of the greatest welterweight fighters in UFC history. From 2007 until 2013 he won the 170-pound division “Rush” is his second division champion with nine title defenses. Given his accomplishments, the 41-year-old Canadian is truly a legend in the sport.
in a recent episode Joe Rogan Experience At (#1956), Logan talked about some of the greatest welterweights of all time and how the aggressively contested welterweight was a tougher matchup for “GSP” than previous generation contenders.
A UFC commentator told guest Luke Combs:
“If you look at GSP wins, he was beating some very good players, but the ones Kamaru Usman beat were Colby Covington, Jorge Masvidal, Tyrone Woodley. I think they are good players…”
Joe Rogan continued:
“If Masvidal existed at the time, I think he would have been a danger to everyone. I think he’s on another level. I think everybody’s on another level… He’s assassinated.” Masvidal is a gangster.”
