The air turned sky blue during Jack Grealish’s post-match interview with BT Sport when Manchester City fans turned adult chants on Rio Ferdinand.
Grealish was interviewed by BT Sport’s pitchside panel of experts after City drew 1-1 with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.
When Grealish came out for the interview, City fans still on the ground could be heard chanting “super, superjack.”
The 27-year-old praised the match he just played at the beginning of the interview, saying playing in a match of this size was “like a dream come true”.
But when Manchester United legend Ferdinand asked about Grealish and Coe’s nervousness going into the match, City fans spoke up again.
This time, however, their chants were directed at a former United defender.
Visiting fans could be heard chanting “Rio is aw********, Rio is aw********.”
Their voices were too loud, making the interview with Grealish difficult to hear for a moment.
However, Grealish went on to explain how City differs from a team Real Madrid dropped out of the competition at the same stage last season.
He said: “We are a new team and I think the players have changed, but one thing I can say is that we have learned a lot from last year.

“Now I think we have the perfect balance of experience and youth. [Foden]Urling [Haaland] who is world class.
“I’ve never been more confident on the pitch and more confident to have these players by my side.”
An interview with Grealish for BT Sport also drew attention from fans as he zoomed in on his calf after admitting he had a cramp.
However, there was also an immediately awkward moment for fans near the end of the interview, as the alleged fart was torn apart by a mystery expert.
The reverse leg of the fixture takes place next Wednesday at the Etihad.
