Spotify announced today that the AI DJ feature is rolling out to Ireland and the UK for Spotify Premium users.
in a nutshell
Spotify’s DJ feature is a personalized AI guide that decides which song to play next based on your musical tastes and preferences. A curated line-up of music with commentary on the tracks and artists will be delivered, along with highly realistic audio that mimics radio DJs.

Usage
Not only does DJ AI categorize new releases, it also looks back at your old listening habits and decides exactly what to play. It relies heavily on feedback as the user can tell the AI if they like the songs they play.
Spotify DJ recommendations get better the more you interact with them.
Background
Spotify says the new service launched in the US and Canada earlier this year and has been very popular with users. They claim that “fans spend 25 percent of his listening time DJing and keep coming back. For the first time, more than half of the listeners will come to hear him again the next day.” I’m here.
The Stockholm-based company saw fans asking for the feature on social media, so rolling out a beta for DJs in Ireland and the UK was a natural next step, and the region has been working on this feature. It said it was the region with the most feature requests.
what was said
Spotify UK and Ireland Managing Director Tom Connaughton said of the introduction of DJs to the UK and Ireland: “We know our users love a personalized experience, so we’re confident that DJs will be Spotify’s next beloved feature for rediscovering old favorites and discovering new ones.
“It was very important to us that the product felt truly customized for music lovers in the UK and Ireland. For example, it provided cultural commentary on their favorite artists and songs. It will be so.
“Users who will be using the DJ feature soon after launch will be excited about Arlo Parks releasing new music at the end of May alongside her first collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers, and Jazzy becoming the first Irish woman to top the charts on Spotify. It’s these touches and details that really captivate DJ users.”
