now Daisy Jones & The Six is over and fans are talking about the love story between Billy Dunn (Sam Claflin) and Daisy Jones (Riley Keough). And one of the reasons it worked really well was because of Nzinga Stewart’s direction. was lucky.
One of my favorite episodes of the series is episode 6 titled “Whatever Gets You Through the Night”.Because it’s an episode that breathes life aurora A cover we came to know and love as fans. And while the entire photo shoot is set up to grab the perfect shot, their choice really comes from Camilla taking pictures of Billy and Daisy fighting each other.
But the secret to such shoots is realizing both the ‘idea’ of photography and the magic of the moment they live in. All these elements are no easy feat for a director. So I asked Stewart about making it.
“That day was the coldest day ever,” she said. “I didn’t even know parts of California were like this. It was snowing. And poor Riley is there basically in underwear and a shawl. A heated vest and a hoodie.” Sebastian was wearing a vest over his no shirt. Besides having to show, there were certainly elements against this, we didn’t have to get everything in that short period of time, so we relied heavily on DP. I had to know this was a big mammoth, we only have X hours, this is a priority and we’ll go down the list from there.”
But she went on to talk about how she made sure the moments I needed popped up during the shoot. You feel the tension between the two of you, you feel the fight between the two of you, and you still feel that the two of you need to go somewhere and have sex. Get this out of their system. And it’s really at the forefront, constantly monitoring the actors and communicating with them to make sure they feel like they’re going to tear each other apart and should tear them apart at the same time.
