INTERVIEW: Lewis Tan Unpacks Fighting as a Twin in ‘Shadow and Bone’

shadow and bone I’m back to being a Grishaverse fan. Season 2 offers a glimpse into the world of Leigh Bardugo’s work. Season 2 introduces many new characters that fans will love. One of those characters is Tolya Yul-Bataar. Played by Lewis Tan, he’s a character I work with Alina and Maru, but there’s a lot to learn about his character. I know

Tan will play Tolya in Season 2 of shadow and bone And while Lewis Tan is a villain we know from his past work, we also get to see him shine in a new way. I was able to. shadow and boneI asked about the difference in fighting style shadow and bone for something like his work deadly struggle.

“This approach is similar in the sense that we’re trying to perform physical acts within the character’s sincere emotions,” Tan said. “It’s always been my approach to what I want to do. But each one is different. And I’m playing twins in this one. I have twins, and when I’m with them, we fight together.” We can pretty much read each other’s thoughts and body language, we almost move as one, so when you’re fighting Volcra for example, this is how your tone works. And I think it’s something I’ve never done before.It was a really unique and really fun experience for me.
