Long live riff raffTransformation LP life on earth And it’s been a year since NONESUCH’s record debut. To mark the occasion, the band has re-released the deluxe edition of her album, which includes her acoustic tracks and her two new songs, “Let Her in the Sky” and “Resistance Rockers,” and is streaming now. The announcement was accompanied by the premiere of the music video for “Resistance Rockers,” directed by Kelly Gallagher.
“Resistance Rockers” describes what it felt like to encounter live music for the first time at age 14 and how that experience “saved the life” of songwriter Alinda Segara. “The video, created by Kelly Gallagher, features blink-and-miss footage of little Alinda dancing in the mosh pits of Tompkins Square Park, circa 2000,” Segara said in a press statement. “I wouldn’t have survived my teenage years without that energy and inspiration. It’s a sentiment shared by many, so I hope this song speaks to an equally open-eyed younger self.” I hope.”
