Canadian hardcore band hellbent released a three-song video for “Save The Bees,” “Benchman,” and “Slow Songs.” Despite the entire album being only 11 minutes long, the band did not write or spend much money on producing songs longer than that. Instead, they spent his whopping $3.78, the amount Spotify pays a year, to make three of his videos.
The video shows the band wearing bee costumes in a crowded street, performing on benches, and causing chaos with umbrellas and hammers. Watch the video below.
The band commented:
“If the whole record is only 11 minutes long and you want to make a music video, what do you do? No. In fact, we just spent that amount. Spotify pays us $3.78 a year.”
“At first I dressed up like a bee because there’s a song about bees and the chaos of a busy street. Then I forgot I even did that and made some rap-rock stuff on the bench. After two blunts, we were still dressed like that.” Excitedly with the camera, we shot a super chaotic video of Slow Song with an umbrella and a hammer. So I made three videos and then collectively named them Dinner. fun! “
