The music industry is a challenging place to navigate, and it takes more than just talent to make it to the top. Vincent Jxmes, a rising artist, knows this all too well. He’s been through the ups and downs of the industry and has learned some valuable lessons along the way.
In a recent interview, Vincent shared his thoughts on the industry, his motivation, and his upcoming projects. “There’s shady people, fake fans, and fake friends in the industry,” he said. “It’s a rat race, and it’s very competitive. But I’ve learned that disconnecting from all of that and focusing on making the music I want to hear has made things easier to navigate.”
Vincent’s motivation comes from his daughter and his desire to provide for his family. “I want to establish generational wealth so that when I’m old and have grandkids, I’ll know they’re taken care of,” he said. “Money can’t buy happiness, but I just want to eliminate the financial stress I’ve seen my family go through for years.”
When asked about his advice to upcoming artists, Vincent said, “Just do it. Put your music on SoundCloud, make a DistroKid account, and start releasing music on major platforms. If you believe in it, don’t show anyone a reason to think that you don’t.”
Vincent is excited about the future of the music industry. “The next generation is paving the way, and it’s only a matter of time before we see an artistic explosion,” he said.
Vincent’s newest single, “ANOTHA 6,” is set to release on April 7th, and he’s currently working on his next project titled “VIN DAWG.” “It’s been a long process creatively, but we’re in the home stretch now,” he said.
Vincent’s music aims to give his fans confidence and a self-esteem boost. “I hope my fans can take some of that energy from the song and translate it into their lives,” he said.
Vincent’s passion for music has taken him from a mic without a stand to working with established engineers in studios he used to dream of being in. “I want to take it everywhere and connect with the fans on the road,” he said.
Vincent plans to release a small EP with album throwaways before the “VIN DAWG” project drops, and he has features he’s done for other artists coming out in the next few months.
