Frantic Assembly has announced the full tour dates for Franz Kafka’s new film. transformationis a collaboration between internationally renowned poet, playwright and broadcaster Lem Sisay OBE and Frantic Assembly’s Artistic Director Scott Graham (Othello, Love Songs, Beautiful Burnout).
The new production will premiere at Theater Royal Plymouth on 12-16 September 2023, followed by Curb Theater Leicester (19-23 September 2023) and MAST Mayflower Studios Southampton (26-30 September 2023). ) and the Connaught Theater Worthing (October 3-7). 2023), York Theater Royal (10-14 October 2023), Liverpool Playhouse (17-21 October 2023), Northern Stage Newcastle (24-28 October 2023), Mercury Theater Colchester ( 7-11 November 2023), Rowley Salford Quays (14-18 November 2023), Yvonne Arnaud Theater Guildford (21-25 November 2023), Bristol Old Vic (10-10 January 2024) 20th), Belgrade Theater Coventry (January 23-27, 2024) and Lyric Hammersmith for a four-week performance theater from February 1 to March 2, 2024.

Kafka’s transformation It is a powerful and lively work that depicts humans struggling in a system that crushes them. Gregor Samsa finds himself transformed from breadwinner to burden in this absurd and tragic story. Frantic Assembly is noted for its use of physicality and movement, making Metamorphosis an essentially instinctive work about the limits of body and mind, imagination and aspiration. All of this, combined with the fluidity and lyricism of Rem Sisay’s adaptation, promises an exciting and dynamic show.
transformation Frantic Assembly’s Othello is the second in their iconic body of work. Iconic sees the company take on titles that bring so much history and baggage, love and opinion to create vibrant and thrilling contemporary theatre.
