K-pop girl group fromis_9 has made a comeback with their first studio album ‘Unlock My World’ and lead single ‘#menow’.
Girl group Pledis Entertainment released the music video for the title song “#menow” of the album “Unlock My World” released at the same time at 6 pm (KST) on June 5th.
The new visual makes the group look grumpy despite being popular on social media. However, they found they were happier than performing in an empty concert hall.
They continue to celebrate themselves as a group both during their nights out and in the comfort of their own home. “Feel me now / No need to hide anymore, I like me for who I am / So new, I am now / This is me, what do you think?’ with an uplifting chorus.
The members of the group participated in writing and composing several songs on the new album, and all eight of them wrote the final song “눈맞춤”, which was also composed by Hayoung.
Vocalist Jiwon also co-wrote the lyrics for “Wishlist,” while Jiheon co-wrote the lyrics for “In the Mirror” and “Prom Night.” Soyeon and Nakyung also participated in the composition of “My Night Routine”.
“Unlock My World” is fromis_9’s first studio album since their debut in 2018, and the first release as an eight-member group after member Jang Gyuri left last July.
The last release with Gyuri was the fifth mini-album “from our Memento Box” released in June last year. Fromis_9 currently consists of Lee Saerom, Song Ha Young, Park Ji Won, Noh Ji Sung, Lee So Young, Lee Chae Young, Lee Na Kyung, and Baek Ji Heon.
