Freya Ridings’ recent single ‘Weekends’ brings the soul-baring songwriter back to the airwaves with radio support from Radio 1, Radio 2, Capital, Virgin Radio, Bauer Hits and Bauer Pride, hitting the official singles chart. But it made it into the top 40. Reaching the Top 10 on Radio Airplay and her Shazam, fans’ anticipation for her long-awaited second album ‘Blood Orange’ has risen again.
Now Freya has shared another song from her upcoming album ‘Can I Jump?’ which will be released alongside her second Live At Alexandra Palace performance video and lyric video. And Freya has even better news for her fans. She’s so excited to play her new songs live that she’s moved the release date of the “Blood Her Orange” album forward a week to April 28th, her intimate album starting on the same day. Made the release tour playable.
“Can You Jump?” ‘Blood Orange’ showcases the full-force, organic passion that shines throughout the album. It’s a song that’s as optimistic as it is euphoric, because Freya realizes that making big decisions requires taking a leap of faith that everything will work out for the best. “Can you jump?” is the prospect of marrying her partner after an on/off/on relationship that began when she was 19.
According to Freya, “I’ve always had trust issues. I mean, I’m a solo artist! I could have been in a band, but I always felt safer doing it alone. And I had control.” And when you marry someone, there are big factors that you have no control over. You have to trust and love them completely. So I became : Can you jump?
Freya writes, “Can I Jump?” She’s with Scott Harris (Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes) and solo artist Anika Bennett, and Grammy-winning producer Federico Bindover (Coldplay, Meghan Trainor).
The album release tour commemorating “Blood Orange” will be Freya’s first headline show in 18 months. Larger venues such as her Eventim Apollo in London have sold out before, so this tour will be a rare opportunity for fans to see her perform Freya at more intimate venues. Each show is co-hosted with a local record store, where fans can purchase tickets/album her bundles. Here are the dates:
