People’s Bank Theater has announced a schedule of free outdoor DORA events on Putnam Street in front of the theater.
According to the theater’s press release, no tickets are required to attend.
Lawn chairs are welcome. The performance starts at 6:00 pm. Outdoor entertainment projects are partially supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
May 5th, Dell’s. Twin brothers Corey and Cody Hutton on guitar and drummer Jeff McClelland. Big sound power pop small band.
June 2nd, Joshua Lee and Nice Dream. After 14 years of touring and living in Nashville, Joshua Lee has left his music career entirely and is now back with Marietta. He has performed in the Mid He’s Ohio Valley area with Nice Dream (Shane Henthorn, Justin Arthur, Dan Lee, Vinnie Mele, Andy Hall) solo or as a full band.
He’s finishing work on his next project, which will be released in the summer of 2023.
July 7th, Sadie Johnson. Johnson is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, playing music from folk to funk and everything in between. He combines a percussive, energetic guitar style with soulful, powerful vocals. I’m here.
Patrick Sweeney, August 4th. The Nashville-based bluesman blends elements of Americana and Southern rock.
He made his mark in the late ’90s, later forming The Patrick Sweany Band, which featured The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach among a rotating cast of musicians. He has played at premiere festivals and supported international acts such as The Black Keys, The Tedeschi Trucks Band and Hot Tuna.
September 1st, Bard. The group specializes in his 70’s vintage rock and roll, but also includes vintage tunes from other eras. The setlist includes songs from The Rolling Stones, Eagles, Peter Frampton, Hall & Oates, Bob Seger, Steve Miller Band, CCR, Jackson Browne, Steely Dan, Tom Petty and more.
Oct. 6, yo. American folk music, bluegrass, old school country, and rock and roll are all part of Oyo’s sound, born as Marietta’s weekly jams in her justAjar prints at her shop.
