(CNN) A Fox News producer who accused right-wing networks of pressuring her to give misleading testimony in the Dominion defamation case has been fired, she said in a new court filing.
A lawyer for Abby Grosberg, former producer of Maria Bartiromo and Tucker Carlson, who is suing Fox News for alleged legal compulsion, said she was fired by the network on Friday. , the company’s official explanation for her dismissal was that she “improperly disclosed information about the Dominion/Fox lawsuit, which the company believed was privileged.”
Grossberg’s attorneys argued in court documents that her “pretexted” filing was yet another attempt by Fox News to “cover up continued illegal activity.” Fox News has denied all wrongdoing with regards to Grossberg, and separately claims she never defamed Dominion.
Last week, Grossberg filed explosive lawsuits in New York and Delaware, accusing Fox News attorneys of coercing misleading testimony in the Dominion lawsuit. She also claimed she was exposed to a toxic and sexist work environment while at Fox News, a company that disputes all of her claims.
Grossberg has provided terrible new testimony in a serious defamation case released Monday. A Fox News spokesperson said in a statement Monday that the network’s attorneys had previously told Grossberg that she was “free to file any legal claims she wanted” but that she had “privileged information”.
