st. JOSEPH — Southwest Michigan-based Matt Rennie and his band, The Breakdown, have released a new album, For The Birds, on April 22 at 7 p.m. 1101 Broad Street).
Joining the band is Kalamazoo singer-songwriter Kate Rose, who added vocals to the album.
A monthly host of The Box Factory’s open mics, Lenny is a guitarist, songwriter and singer whose influences range from Muddy Waters to David Bowie.
“For Birds” features a collection of songs that explore family, aging, and the different paths that lead us home.
Kalamazoo-based Rose bares her soul in songs of personal struggle and struggle. She has produced seven of her records, most recently her 2022 ‘Balance’. Her debut music video “Bad Mother” was nominated for Michigan Music Video of the Year.
