Frontiers Music Srl has announced the release of dark metallers False Memories’ new studio album, Hybrid Ego System, on June 9th.
The first single from the album, “Rising Tide,” was released today. Watch the clip below and pre-order/store the new album here.
Hybrid Ego System follows the band’s last release, The Last Night Of Fall, composed by guitarist/producer Francesco Savino (Demons Down, T3NORS) and vocalist Rossella Moscatello. The duo also added drummer Emanuele Cossu, guitarist Moreno Palmisano and new bassist Davide Tavecchia to the line-up to oversee the creation of the new album.
Hybrid Ego System shows that False Memories continues to explore the farthest reaches of dark metal while continuing to explore their love of progressive metal. And as a special treat, legendary vocalist Annette Olzon (Dark Element, formerly of Nightwish) joins the band to duet with Rossella on her track “Storm Inside.”
Beginning in 2021, False Memories has enjoyed an explosion of creativity and activity that has increased its profile. First, after releasing the well-received album ‘The Last Night Of Fall’, we will conclude 2021 with the cover EP ‘Echoes Of A Reflection’, Lacuna His Coil, Paradise Lost, Catatonia, The Gathering, All His About I paid homage to his Eve.
In 2022, the band will release a special live EP, Live Until The Twilightl, on all digital music platforms and embark on a European tour with label-mate Semblant. Additionally, vocalists Rossella Moscatello and Francesco Savino contributed their songwriting talents to tracks from label-mates Revolution Saints’ album Eagle Flight. Of course, in 2022, the band also worked on a new album, Hybrid Ego System.
