Rosalía is the star of FC Barcelona and Spotify’s latest creation, a co-branded match kit designed to support the upcoming men’s and women’s El Clasico matches.
In line with the football organization’s previous Spotify partnership, the new kit aims to pay tribute to the Spanish artist and her album’s undeniable success. MOTOMAMIThe singer was recently named the world’s most-streamed Spanish artist, according to Spotify, with her albums streamed over 1.8 billion times. Streaming Statistics from her platform also show that listeners have added her Rosalía tracks to her over 150 million user-generated playlists.
Juli Guiu, Vice President of Marketing at FC Barcelona, said in a press release: “Seeing a famous artist like Rosalía in his beloved Barça jersey is a wonderful surprise for fans around the world. Music and football form a special partnership with their long future and the story. We are excited to add a new chapter to Spotify, the world’s most popular music streaming platform.”
The limited-edition design comes in two versions and features FC Barcelona’s signature blue and red stripes, featuring the singer’s MOTOMAMI The logo is printed across the chest of the jersey. The first iteration is expected to arrive with 1899 units, while the second is slated for a broader release of 11 men’s and 11 women’s versions.
