grind school recently toured in support of their latest LP ‘Memory Theater’. A seven-week tour across North America supporting Greg Petitart and The Acacia Strain with special guest appearances to headline shows.
The 9-song LP titled “Memory Theater” released in September last year, MNRK Heavy received a positive score of “8” in their review, calling the album “sonic camaraderie, energetic and purposeful”. You can find the band’s extended tour dates below.
vocalist Caterina Economou Commented on the record:
“For the new LP, I wanted to have a fantasy architecture theme. memory theater is symbolic of this interior building made up of infinitely expanding and constructed rooms. I wanted the artwork to show that each song is a “room” in the mind. And each room contains a symbolic object for every idea.
In terms of sound, we realized how important the physical side of a live performance is and how important it is to move people with riffs and grooves. We wrote and demoed these songs over and over again and it turned out exactly how we wanted it. “
