There are 21 rap tracks this week out of 200 songs on Spotify Weekly Top Songs Global. Five of her songs were recorded by Eminem. That’s almost a quarter of all hip-hop that shows up on the charts.
The most popular song of the week was Drake’s fresh single “Search & Rescue,” which alone has amassed over 18.4 million streams. It was followed by Marshall’s 2004 classic “Mockingbird,” which he received 15.2 million views in the last seven days.
Drake also looks strong in terms of the number of songs he has charted. Drake & 21 Savage “Rich Flex”, Drake feat. However, it’s not the maximum an artist can chart in his week. Eminem has five of his tracks with his name on the list. All were recorded and released solo in the early 2000s. In fact, Eminem is the only artist of the era who still produces impressive numbers that can confidently compete with artists of the streaming era. The longevity of Em’s legacy is certainly unmatched.
